Pants and Jeans

My problem is that I can find my size, but not my length. I guess fashion designers think that women size 22/24 only have an inseam of 30”, those look like capries on me, but stupider! Lol OR I can find my length, 34” inseam, and the largest size is a 5, my thigh won't even fit in that! Lol I have done many things to get jeans to fit me right, get my size and add fabric to the bottom of the jeans, that looked stupid. I've even tried just taking the hem out, that gave me an inch or two, still not enough.

I found Alloy again recently. I used to get their catalogs when I was a teen, but never bought anything. Well I have money now and my old jeans are wearing out and I needed some new ones.
I fell in LOVE with Alloy!
I bought 4 pairs of pants in my first shipment. 1 pair of slacks and 3 pairs of jeans, all size 25(I wanted to make sure they would fit) and shockingly an inseam of 37” I wanted to make sure they were long enough! Yes I said 37” inseam! I got them. The slacks fit perfect. One pair of jeans was the equivalent of like a size 0, apparently it was a “juniors size 25” I didn't read that on the description, READ THE DESCRIPTION, so I'm returning those. The other 2 pairs of jeans looked great! I put them on and....they were TOO BIG and TOO LONG(they dragged on the floor)! I was shocked! That has NEVER happened to me before, I have NEVER found jeans to be TOO LONG, and a few to be too big. So needless to say I'm returning them as well.
I made a second order while I waited to return those. Size 23 and an inseam of 35”. They came in yesterday! I was so excited! I tried them on immediately! I was sooooo happy to find that they fit and they were the perfect length!
I don't mind spending $29-44, regular price, on jeans from Alloy now. I know they will fit and be the right length!

They have great sales and if you sign up for their email you get coupons throughout the month, good ones too. Plus they send you a coupon for your birthday, $10 off your order. In their clearance I found jeans for $9.99, my size and length too!

I haven't tried their shirts yet, but that's something I plan on doing. Especially their longsleeve shirts. Being 6' 2” I have a hard time finding long sleeve shirts that have sleeves long enough, I usually have to go to like hot topic to find ones that are meant to hang over most people's hands, well those are the right “normal” length” on my arms! lol

  1. We have always had problems finding clothing to fit your height. When you were 5'8" in the fifth grade I knew we'd have issues. You were in a size 10 shoe already.
What I hate about the fashion industry is they assume women that have large feet, (now you're a size 11 or 12), you don't want fashionable shoes. I can't stand it.

I hope you start a wildfire of fans that can relate!

(P.S. FUNNY! My verification word was "bigey" LMAO!)

  2. Hi Ashley, I'm a friend of your mom's from high school. I like your post. It reminds me of a recent post from a blogger named Aunt Becky. Read the comments - people can definitely relate!
